Family Walk and Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we took a family walk. My mother and brother went with us so they could take pictures of us as a family. With the photos we took on our walk I got to redo one of my picture frames.

Not easy to get everyone looking and smiling at the same time.

Carter holding daddy's hand walking. I thought that was really cute!

Wasn't easy to get Cloey to let me take her picture this time.

Cloey making a face at me.

Carter saying "Cheese!"

Cloey started walking in the other direction because she didn't want to go back to the van and didn't want anymore pictures taken. Carter loves the Camera! Cloey has her moments.

Cute!

Carter keep running towards me as I was trying to capture a picture of him running. I had him run to me a few times before I got a picture.

Was such a beautiful day for a walk. Glad to see that we got some good pictures.

Xbox 360 Kinect / Playstation3 Eye Move Camera

Terry got a Kinect for our Xbox 360 last year for his birthday. Since then, I have download demo games which can only be played with the Kinect. We have our Xbox connected to the internet to get updates and be able to download free demo games. This way we can play the game a little before we decide we want to buy it. There have been a few demo games I have downloaded I was glad we didn't purchase them, they just weren't what I was expecting them to be.

Christmas Movies

Christmas Movies are one of my favorite things at this time of year. Some give you the feeling of Christmas, others make you appreciate what you have and touch your heart.

Fun day, full of activities

This past Saturday, Faith and Haley (my nieces) came over. We also had our neighbor's grand daughter come over to participate in all the activities.

I made red and green home made paint. I had paint cups that came with a princess picture at Halloween time, we bought it at the dollar tree, for Cloey. I rinsed out the little paint cups, and poured in a little of the homemade paint. Carter had one color at a time, so he didn't mix them. I have painting shirts for them so they don't get their clothes messy.

We got a good amount of snow the night before, the most we had gotten this winter season so far. After painting and cleaning up we all decided it would be fun to go out and play in the snow. Took us about ten minutes for everyone to get bundled up.
Carter walking in the snow

Carter has gotten at little taller since the last snow fall, which made it easier for him to move around.

Cloey in a sled
Cloey and Carter both enjoyed being pulled around the yard in the sled. All the kids took turns going down the slide with all the snow and wearing ski pants it made it fast, and fun.

Cloey loves the snow and didn't want to go inside when it was time. We played for about thirty minutes, then it was time to go in because the mittens kept falling off and so my kids hands were getting cold. Carter also needed to take his afternoon nap.

While Carter was taking a nap Cloey and the neighbors granddaughter played with homemade play dough. I made red and green, Christmas colors. Then they went and played with barbies. Faith helped me get the next project ready, while Haley entertained the girls.

We made reindeer; I had to trace one foot from everyone and both hands on to pieces of paper. Then had them play again, while Faith and I cut them all out. After we were done cutting them out, we taped the bottom of the hands to the top of the foot. I had everyone take theirs and color them. I would have done this with construction paper, but I didn't have any, so I just used printer paper instead. I should have used the card paper I had, because it is thicker and would have made the reindeer stronger.

Reindeer ornaments
Smallest to biggest: Carter's, Cloey's, Haley's and then Faiths.
I got this idea while searching Google images for; Christmas craft ideas for kids. I thought it would be cool to make it an ornaments. I didn't have any string so I used tape, first I colored it with a silver sharpie marker and then I folded it, the long way into its self, so it wouldn't be sticky. I threaded it through the hole we made with a hole punch, at the top of the reindeer, and taped the two ends together. Then my nieces hung theirs and my kids reindeer on the tree. My parents stopped by while we were making the reindeer. My dad helped Carter by coloring his reindeer, for him and my mom was trying to help Cloey color hers in.

After we were done with the reindeer my parents hung around so I could walk my neighbor's granddaughter back over. She took all her crafts she created with her so she could give them to her grandma.

A couple hours later everyone, but Carter, had a hand in making cookie dough and peanut butter balls. I got the recipe for the chocolate chip cookies from the back of my Nestle chocolate chip bag.  I didn't add nuts, because I am not a fan of nuts in anything I cook, I only like to eat them plain with a little salt. Will post my peanut butter ball recipe and chocolate fudge recipe along with a couple other easy to make treats later.

Thankful!

Thanksgiving is that one time of year you are supposed to stop and think about everything, and everyone, you are grateful for.

Here are a few reasons I am thankful:

1st Snow fall that stuck

Last year Cloey cried the first time she looked out the window and saw snow on my car. This year was completely different she ran up the hallway to tell me there was snow on the front and back part of my car; she was so excited when she said it. She said that she wanted to go play in it so I decided, why not? I got my kids all bundled up and we headed outside to play in the first real snow fall.

Ariel Kids Deluxe Halloween Costume Review

My daughter loves to dress up. She also loves princess and lately I have found her saying Ariel is her favorite. The only thing was she didn't have any Ariel costume so she couldn't dress up like her. I got a chance to review a costume from Wholesale Halloween Costumes so I decide to look for an Ariel Costume. I liked the Ariel deluxe costume the best, because parts of it looked shinny and other parts looked soft. Cloey loves soft clothes and blankets she says they are comfy, comfy, comfy! Not only can Cloey use her Ariel costume to play dress up but she can use it to go trick~or~treating next month.

Cloey ran out of hugs & Carter don't want kisses

Two nights ago we were just getting done reading stories all together in Cloey's room when Terry asked Cloey for a hug and she said she was all out.

I remember when I was younger I use to say this same thing when I wasn't in the mood to give anymore hugs. Not sure if that was the case for Cloey because when I asked if I could get her more hugs and she hugged me and then said she her tank was full of gas. LOL! She is so silly. I then asked her "so your tank is full of hugs then?" and then she hugged her daddy but ran out again when I wanted a hug.

Three nights ago I gave Carter a kiss and he took both his hands and wipe his month saying "uck". So sweet of him. He did that a total of three times. I was expecting him to be at least two and a half before he started saying yuck to me kissing him.

My Birthday

For my birthday I wanted to get my family together and have a turkey because we have all been craving it. My mom, step dad (been like my real dad), brother, sister, niece, step sister, her mom (like another mom to me), her husband, her three kids and my husband and two kids all were at my house.
My step sister and her mother were very helpful to me while trying to get all the food prepared an cooked. Terry had to work and showed up just as everything was done.
Everyone said it kind of felt more like Thanksgiving then it did my birthday because we had almost everything we have for Thanksgiving dinner. I felt like it was much more relaxing then at Thanksgiving, even though I don't cook at Thanksgiving time. When it came to clean up my dad, mom, step sister and her mother all helped me get my kitchen cleaned up and put back to normal while all the kids and everyone else were outside playing and hanging out.

My step sister, her husband and three kids got me Golf Toss, also known as Ladder Ball. After we were all done cleaning up and putting the food away it was time for us all played together and have fun! Picture below of what it the game looks like. You have them 25 feet apart and then you toss the balls (two balls linked together with a rope) top bar you get 3 points, middle bar is 2 points and bottom bar is only 1 point. You play 9 rounds or until some one get 21 points, which ever one comes first. Pretty fun to play and fun to watch.

I had a very, happy, relaxing Birthday! I always love spending time with my family and it is very important to me that we always stay close.

Fun at Eden days!

My niece called me up and told me about Eden days so I decide to go and check it out with my kids. Eden days was at the school in Eden. When we got there we went inside to check things out and see what they had. I notice they were doing face painting so I asked Cloey if she wanted to get her face painted and she said yes. There was also a clown doing a show when we walked in.

Cloey wanted to get her face painted so I asked her what she wanted and she said a butterfly.

Almost done painting the butterfly on her face

My niece, Haley, got a heart.

Carter watching the Clown do his show. Asia another one of my nieces was holding Carter.

They Clown doing his show

Cloey after she got her face painted.

Haley after she got her face painted. She got a heart on one cheek and a star on the other.

After the show the clown made different shaped balloons for everyone that wanted one.
Cloey really likes butterflies so she wanted a butterfly balloon. Cloey got a little shy/scared when it came time for her balloon to be made, it also didn't help that other kids around us where playing with their balloons  which popped and echo in the gym.

The Clown made Cloey's butterfly balloon into a bracelet, so it wouldn't get popped easily.

Haley got two swords because they pop easily so he always makes two.

Carter got a doggy for a balloon the Clown made it small so it would be more durably for him.

There wasn't as many activities as I was thinking there was going to be for my kids to do at Eden days, so I decided to take them out back of the school to play on the playground and I think they had the most fun there.

In and out and then trying to climb back in again. He had so much fun.

Carter had a blast walking all over. The ground has diced up tires in the playground area, so that if kids fall they don't get hurt, such a great idea because it is a nice way of recycling.

Carter climbing up the slide the wrong way. But auntie Tanya stopped him.

Then I handed him to Haley so he could go down the slide the right way.

Cloey decided she wanted to go down the slide too!

Although there wasn't much for my kids to do at Eden days at least my kids had fun playing on the playground. Plus it is always nice to get out of the house and try to different fun things with my kids. I know they had a blast and I had fun watching them.
