Family Update
Cloey:
Carter:
Trying to think of other things to write but it is so hard to sit down and try to remember everything new that is going on or has happened.
Not sure if I have posted about Carter being in a toddler bed now and has no more pacifiers! Next will be potty training. We aren't going to push it. We will let him go at his own pace.
Terry recently built our kids a new play house. They love it. More room and much safer.
Try to write again soon!
Cloey's last day of preschool is next Friday. She is going to be so sad when she doesn't get to go after that. Cloey only had preschool on Thursdays and Fridays from 8-11:30am. After two days of going to school she would wake up Saturday morning and ask if she had school. I am glad that she likes school and I truly hope that never changes.
Cloey is going to be turning four in August.
Cloey got her first big haircut yesterday, because she wouldn't let us put her hair up and it is getting to be too hot out to always wear it down.

She loves her new hair cut and so do we. I am sure it won't take long for it to grow back. We will see how she does with us putting her hair up then.
Carter:
Carter is going to be two in only a couple of weeks. He talks a lot and is suck a copy cat. Favorite words right now are, No and Mine!
He loves playing with his tools, favorite ones being his hammers. Loves to play outdoors, pretend to cook, ride on his little kid four wheeler and so much more.
Carter looks so much bigger without all his curls. He got a big boy hair cut too, because of the hot weather.Trying to think of other things to write but it is so hard to sit down and try to remember everything new that is going on or has happened.

Cloey's 1st Day of Preschool!
This morning we woke up and I was going to take a shower but there wasn't any hot water. Turns out the hot water pipe that is in Cloey's wall let go again and was pouring hot water into the wall. I say again because it happened one night about five months ago we came home from having dinner at my dad's house and there was water pouring out from under our house. The hot water tube that goes into the tube that has the shut off valve and connects to the back of the shower in the wall, came out so we couldn't shut off the hot water. We fixed it with plummer's glue five months ago but I guess that was just a quick not permanent fix, this time Terry went to the store and bought a better part to replace the older tube that has the shut off value. Half of Cloey's floor was soaked this time what a mess. All cleaned up now and made for a busy morning. I was too busy getting all the water sucked out of Cloey's floor to cry about her first day, guess in a way it is a good thing. Silver lining I guess.
When we brought Cloey to school she was so excited then when we walked into the class room she wanted me to hold her and didn't want to do anything but after I put her down and played with her for a few minutes I told her that I was going to let her play and we would be back to get her in a couple of hours. She said okay and kissed me good-bye. She is getting so big. Of course I am starting to tear up as I am writing this right now.
When we went back to her school to pick her up, she was playing with the kitchen area with three other friends. She didn't want to leave but everyone else was leaving so I told her that and that she would see everyone in the morning. We got her to agree to leave, finally!
I am glad to see that she like to go to school at least and now I don't have to worry about her missing me because she is so busy playing and having fun that she doesn't have a chance. I heard she asked where we were a few times today but the teachers just told her we were home and would be back to get her in a couple of hours, which made Cloey happy and continue to play.

Cloey Starting Preschool
With the town we live in you don't automatically get to have your kids attend preschool, back in May we went to the school for a screening and we signed her up saying we were interested for her to go to school. Then in the middle of July we got home and had a message on our answering machine from a teacher saying she would like to invite Cloey to be in her class two days a week from 8am-11:30am. I called her back the next day and said we would really like for Cloey to be in her class and I asked what I needed to do for that to happen. Cloey's teacher told me she would be contacting me in August to have me fill out paperwork and for Cloey to visit her class again before school started. We were so happy when we got the phone call because we know it is good for Cloey to play with other kids her age and for her not to be with me every second of everyday.
We went to Cloey's school last week for open house where she got to meet her teacher and other classmates. Cloey took about ten minutes to really feel comfortable enough walk around the room and play with toys but once she did, she didn't want to leave. We asked her if she wanted to go show Nana and Carter her picture she had drawn we also told her she was going to school again next week, then she decided she was ready to go.
It is so funny how kids can seem like they are the best of friends and known each other for the longest time when they have just met. If only adults acting like this what kind of world would we be living in?
Cloey has her first day of preschool tomorrow and she can't wait! I am so happy for her! I know she will have a blast and learn all kinds of things. The teachers there are strong believers in learning through play and so am I, because when you make learning fun then kids will want to do it when it becomes work they have to want to make good grades and learn. More to come about Cloey going to preschool!
