Skoy Cloth Review & Giveaway

I received four SKOY cloths to review and I couldn't wait to see how well they cleaned. The SKOY cloth reminds me of a thin, big sponge when it is dry or a really thick soft durable paper towel when it is wet.
How thin the are when they are dry

Wet (on the left)                         Dry (on the right)

I have used a SKOY cloth to wash dishes, wipe down counters and walls. I use the green colored cloth to clean my bathrooms, I simply throw it in the washer when done. Before I use the SKOY I wet it and then squeeze out the water; it goes from feeling hard and not manageable to soft and flexible.

A little information from the SKOY Site:

The SKOY cloth is a durable product due to the reusability factor and can last months. Using a SKOY cloth is equivalent to using 15 rolls of paper towels in an average home. With the high cost of paper towels, as much as $2 per roll, SKOY cloth is the obvious choice for your wallet and the environment.
The SKOY cloth has an absorption factor of 15x its own weight. As a result, producing the most superior cloth product available. Imagine using 15 sheets of good-quality paper towels at once… This is how a wet SKOY cloth will feel in your hand.

The SKOY cloth is long-lasting because of the wash ability feature. It dries quickly, so it is not a breeding ground for bacteria. Have you ever used your sponge, then smelled your hand and it reeked of horrible bacteria? That will never happen again if you microwave your SKOY cloth regularly. It is also dishwasher and washer/dryer safe. Cleaning your SKOY cloth will keep it healthy and germ-free.  Please see Use & Care for instructions.

I love using the SKOY cloth to wash my dishes because how it feels and cleans. When I finish cleaning the dishes, I squeeze the SKOY cloth and then wipe up all the water that got on the counter.
I like sponges because they soap up nicely and absorb, but they are thick and small. I used dish cloths before I got the SKOY cloth. I find that dish cloths stink if I don't wash them after I do the dishes. I feel that the SKOY cloth is an improved sponge and dish cloth all in one in the perfect size. That is why I now use them and will continue to do so.

The SKOY cloths are very absorbent, can use it to clean so many things, it is reusable, and 100% biodegradable, which helps our environment. I wish the SKOY cloth had a scrubby part to help with the tough spots when cleaning. Maybe one corner could have a scrubby part, just an idea, but that might get in the way of it being 100% biodegradable.

SKOY company has a fundraiser program for schools Click Here to find out more about it. Which makes sense because the SKOY cloth was invented by two moms. Click Here to learn about their story.

The SKOY cloths are very affordable at a price of only $6.99 for four Click Here to buy. You can even subscribe to SKOY to get 8 cloths automatically delivered to you every three, four, five or six months.

One lucky reader of Mother of 2, that will do will win four SKOY cloths for a chance to win please follow the instructions from the rafflecopter below:

Different things I use Baking Soda for

I use baking soda to clean so many things. The funny thing is I don't remember using baking soda to bake.

Jewelry Cleaner:

I clean my jewelry with baking soda and a little bit of water. Dust takes its toll on my earrings, they all lose their shin and I get that back when I clean them with baking soda, water and a tooth brush. I rinse the earrings off to get all the baking soda off them and then you would swear they were new again. I clean my wedding rings all the time this way as well. It is a trick that has been passed down from my mother and her grandmother. I have heard of people using toothpaste but baking soda works better. I have tired it.

Laundry:

I add about a half a cup to my laundry when I think it needs a little extra help getting things clean because the clothes are really dirty or really stinky, sometimes both.

I also buy Arm & Hammer laundry soap: love the way it smells and how well it cleans on the first wash. I used a empty spray bottle almost filled it with water and added a cap full of my laundry soap, shook it. I spray that on the spots on the clothes before I wash them.

Stainless Steal Cleaner:

I clean my sink with baking soda and water with a cloth or by grabbing the wet baking soda with my hand and using like it is a cloth rubbing all over the sink. Then I rinse well, and dry. Baking soda gets the stains out of the sink.

I use it to clean my deep fryer when it gets covered in grease. Baking soda, water and a cloth is all I used to clean my deep fryer. Had this deep fryer for almost four years as you can tell because the numbers are starting to wear off.  Before and After pictures below.

Covered in Baking soda

I use baking soda, water and a cloth to clean my stove top when I can't get it clean with just the soapy water and dishcloth.

As you should be able to tell baking soda and water work really well for me. I feel much better about using baking soda then SOS pad because the SOS pads tend to scratch things. Also when using baking soda there are no harsh chemicals.

Baking soda has so many uses and another great thing it is cheap to buy! Feel free to comment below and tell me what you use it for or maybe any other tricks to get things clean.

Other uses posted on the Arm & Hammer website

I wrote about my experience with baking soda because I am so happy with the job it does and I thought my readers would like to hear about it as well. These are my honest opinions and I was in no way financially compensated.
