Purex Ultra Packs~Review & Giveaway

As a Purex Insider I was chosen to review Purex Ultra Packets. Purex Ultra Packs are little packets filled with 2 times the concentrated laundry detergent formula with two kinds of stain fighters. The packet dissolves in the washer.
They are very easy to use; before you load your washer with clothes; throw one Purex Ultra Pack in for regular loads or two Purex Ultra Packs, if it is a heavily soiled or large load.
Wash hands after handling the packets. Also want to make sure your hands are completely dry before reaching in the bag, because you don't want to dissolve any of the other packets.

I love this little packets they make it so easy, no measuring. They work really well too. I was a little skeptical because of how small they are, but they work well.
Picture of one of the powerful packets. |
I would recommend this Purex Ultra Packets to any family or friend. Normally when measure out laundry soap I always put in extra, but with this packets I don't need to. I just throw in one packet for a regular load and two for large loads. My husbands clothes always get two packets because he work clothes need an extra boost.
Three luck readers of "Mother of 2, that will do" will each win one coupon to redeem at a store for one bag of Purex Ultra Packs! Purex Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar ~ Review/Giveaway
I am a Purex insider. One of the benefits are getting a chance to test Purex products. I was selected to receive one Purex Fels-Naptha laundry bar to review.
I couldn't wait to try it out, but I had just done my laundry, so I had to wait a few days for the first chance.
I am weird, but I couldn't wait for something to get on one of my kids clothes, husbands or mine, because I wanted to try it out and see how well it work. I didn't deliberately try to get rust on my pants. It happened because I moved my husbands chain out of the way in the back of our truck, so I could put our groceries there. I forgot that I got rust on my hand and I rub my pants, to wipe off a little dirt which got rust on my pants. This is what gave me a reason to try the Purex Fel-Naptha laundry bar. See pictures below of my pants.
Before I wet the area of the pants that had rust and rubbed the Purex Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar. |
After I wet the rust area of my pants and rubbed the Purex Fel-Naptha laundry bar on them. (you can see the rust area better in this picture. |
After washed and dried, no stains! Yes, it took the rust out! |
Wet the shirt and rubbed the purex fel-naptha laundry bar on the bad areas. |
(Closer look) There isn't any stains!!! |
After washed and dried |
Purex Fels-Naptha can also be used as a laundry booster if you use a cheese grater and grate some into your washer; I have a top load HE washer, so I fill my washer with water then grate some of the Purex Fels-Naptha bar into it then add clothes, because it uses less water and if I put it on top of the clothes I don't know that it is going to get all dissolved.
To use as a stain remover. I first wet the stain then rub the Purex Fels-Naptha laundry bar on it, rubbing it back and forth and covering the stain, then let it set for a couple of minutes and wash as normal.

Mason Cup Review/Giveaway

I washed the mason jar right away then filled it with cold water from my fridge. It was easy to wash because of the large opening at the top, and the handle is solid plastic, so I don't ever have to worry about anything getting suck in there. The straw has a stopper on the end that you place inside the jar to make it so you don't pull it out or have it fall out if it spills over. The lid is made out of aluminum and has a spill resistant straw hole, which I tested out, by laying it on its side the water did continuously drip out, but didn't spill all over.
The Mason Jar is 16 ounces, 100% BPA Free, 100% recyclable, and available in four colors. I was happy to see that it was shipped in a cardboard box with paper to protect, not bubble wrap, so I could recycle the box and the paper.
About Smart Planet (from their website);
Smart Planet carries Household Items with an Eco-friendly twist.Founded in 1995, for more than 15 years, it has been Smart Planet’s mission to help you live in our planet earth with our Eco-friendly household items.
Smart Planet is an internationally renowned source of innovative and Eco-friendly products that make life more enjoyable.
Our offices are located in China, Hong Kong, and United States.
If it's good for the environment and it's good for business, then it's good for us and our partners.
The only thing downfall for me was I could only get the mason drinking jar, to fit inside one of my van cup holders. To do that, I had to take out one of the rubber insert out of the two cup holds that are next to each other, with a little gap between them, and turned the handle in toward the gab, to make it fit (I hope I explained it well enough to understand, I should have taken a picture). I do however think it is great around my house or while visiting friends or family at their house.

Eco Oasis Foldable Water Bottle Review & Giveaway
I received a 16 ounce, Eco Oasis Foldable Water Bottle, from the Smart Planet company. I drink about 10 glasses of water a day and whenever I go some where I always bring a few reusable water bottles with me. They are hard plastic and take up a lot of room, even when they are empty and they are hard to juggle.
With eco oasis foldable water bottle, I don't have to worry about having my hands full because it can clip to purse or belt loop, and when it is empty I can fold it up and put it in my pocket or purse, takes up hardly any room. The water bottle stands up on its own when it is full and has a cover, which makes me happy because I don't have to worry about anything touching the mouth piece, and getting it dirty.
You could fill the water bottle with any cold drink of your choice to take to go or even stay at home. Cheaper and better for our environment when reuse and recycle. It is also much cheaper to bring a drink from home then to stop to the store and buy a drink, which you then dispose of the container.
Being foldable means it is flexible, which means when it is full and if someone squeezes it with force, while the top is open, water will come out and go all over. This is the only down fall that I have found.

Skoy Cloth Review & Giveaway
I received four SKOY cloths to review and I couldn't wait to see how well they cleaned. The SKOY cloth reminds me of a thin, big sponge when it is dry or a really thick soft durable paper towel when it is wet.
I have used a SKOY cloth to wash dishes, wipe down counters and walls. I use the green colored cloth to clean my bathrooms, I simply throw it in the washer when done. Before I use the SKOY I wet it and then squeeze out the water; it goes from feeling hard and not manageable to soft and flexible.
A little information from the SKOY Site:
I love using the SKOY cloth to wash my dishes because how it feels and cleans. When I finish cleaning the dishes, I squeeze the SKOY cloth and then wipe up all the water that got on the counter.
I like sponges because they soap up nicely and absorb, but they are thick and small. I used dish cloths before I got the SKOY cloth. I find that dish cloths stink if I don't wash them after I do the dishes. I feel that the SKOY cloth is an improved sponge and dish cloth all in one in the perfect size. That is why I now use them and will continue to do so.
The SKOY cloths are very absorbent, can use it to clean so many things, it is reusable, and 100% biodegradable, which helps our environment. I wish the SKOY cloth had a scrubby part to help with the tough spots when cleaning. Maybe one corner could have a scrubby part, just an idea, but that might get in the way of it being 100% biodegradable.

A little information from the SKOY Site:
The SKOY cloth is a durable product due to the reusability factor and can last months. Using a SKOY cloth is equivalent to using 15 rolls of paper towels in an average home. With the high cost of paper towels, as much as $2 per roll, SKOY cloth is the obvious choice for your wallet and the environment.
The SKOY cloth has an absorption factor of 15x its own weight. As a result, producing the most superior cloth product available. Imagine using 15 sheets of good-quality paper towels at once… This is how a wet SKOY cloth will feel in your hand.
The SKOY cloth is long-lasting because of the wash ability feature. It dries quickly, so it is not a breeding ground for bacteria. Have you ever used your sponge, then smelled your hand and it reeked of horrible bacteria? That will never happen again if you microwave your SKOY cloth regularly. It is also dishwasher and washer/dryer safe. Cleaning your SKOY cloth will keep it healthy and germ-free. Please see Use & Care for instructions.

Blade Buddy Review & Giveaway
I received a Blade Buddy to review for my blog. I was so excited when I found out about the blade buddy because making a razor last means saving money. I also hate when I go to use a razor and find that after almost week of using it, it has gone dull.
When I used the Blade Buddy for the first time I started with a new blade and put a little shaving cream on the Blade Buddy. I have been using the same razor blade for two weeks now, using the Blade Buddy every time before I used the razor, and the razor still seems like new. Normally after a week of using the razor everyday or every other day the blades starts to get dull and I didn't have this problem with using the Blade Buddy.
I wish they would come up with a blade cleaner. That I could clean my blade off with while shaving. I hate when I wait a little while to shave my legs you know past a stubble? Which honestly happens quite often in the winter time, because I don't where shorts and have my legs showing. It makes it so the hair gets caught in the blade and I must have the blade in front of the flow of water coming out of the shower head to try and get the hair cleaned off from the blade.
It feels like the black part of the Blade Buddy in the picture below is made of hard plastic and the blue part (which just sits on the black part) is made of some rubbery kind of material.
I rest my razor blade on the blade buddy in the top part of the Blade Buddy, seems like that is why that space is there anyways. It just makes sense because then I don't forget to use it before I shave. I honestly didn't think it was going to work because when using the blade buddy it doesn't seem like it could be doing anything but with the blade still working like new after two weeks, it must be doing what the company says and shows.

Two tips that the "Blade Buddy Company" has found to be very helpful for first-time users:
1. Always apply light pressure when pushing your razor forward along Blade Buddy's patented silicone surface (in the opposite direction of shaving). NEVER pull the razor towards you (in the direction of shaving).
2. Start with a new (or near-new) razor blade. Blade Buddy will extend the life of your blades from days to months, but will not restore the sharpness of your old, dull blades.
A few frequently ask questions from the Blade Buddy website:
Will the Blade Buddy work with any razor?

Knot Genie Review & Giveaway
I receive a Knot Genie to review for my blog. I was very eager to try it out on Cloey's hair because although her hair is baby soft it tangles very well in the middle of the night. Every time she wakes up in the morning I have to spray it down with detangler to be able to brush it with out so many knots.
Usually after a bath Cloey runs from me because she doesn't want me to brush her hair.
The first time I tried the Knot Genie with Cloey I didn't spray her hair first because I really wanted to put it to the test. I brushed her hair slowly and didn't run into any knots, which was a big surprise. I have been using it for about two weeks now on Cloey's, Carter's and my hair. I haven't had a problem with knots unless Cloey has something sticky in her hair because it doesn't go through it very easily, which means bath time!
Cloey likes to brush her own hair with the Knot Genie and anyone else that will let her.
I tried the knot genie on my own hair and found that it went through my hair very easy with out any snarls (knots).
A little information from the Knot Genie Site:
The magic trick behind the Knot Genie™ is one we are happy to reveal. It all has to do with the different lengths of teeth on the brush. When brushing, they bend just right, to gently untangle the hair. And because of this lack of stress, the hair's cuticle stays unharmed... revealing the smoothest, shiniest hair you've ever seen.
I only wish they would offer some Knot Genies with a handle because when I brush Cloey's hair or my own to put it up in a pony tail it makes it harder.
They offer two sized Knot Genies. The one seen in the picture below and a smaller one.
Just after a bath before I brushed her hair.

NoThrow Review & Giveaway
I received 2 No Throws to review, one bottle/cup No Throw and one pacifier No Throw.

The No Throw Pacifier clip makes it so I can easily clip Carter's nieny (pacifier) to his shirt, jacket, Carseat strap or Stroller strap without having to search for it when he throws it because it is attached to the strip and clipped where he or I, can find it. He got mad for a second the first time he used it because he couldn't pull it off his jacket and throw it like he has done with his other pacifier clips in the past. The Pacifier clip can be easily attached to any pacifier that you could have the No Throw loop around.
There are so many different cute styles for boys and girls and a few neutral ones. The designed that I got for a review is called "blue with sports". The side of the No Throw that has pictures of sports balls is more shinny then it looks in the picture on their website and a brighter blue (you can see in the picture below).
The No Throw was invented by Karla and Karen, Twin sisters.

They are having an overstock sale on selected items on their site.
Buy It: Click Here
I am very happy with the No Throws and would recommend these to anyone with young kids. They work very well and they are such a great deal with only $5 a piece. A product that makes our jobs as moms a little easier!

The velcro strap, the end you put the cup or bottle into. |
I attach Carter's cup to the table so he can't throw it when he is done taking a drink or accidentally drop it. When his sippy cup drops just right way the insert that stops the liquid from coming out drops inside the cup and allows the liquid to spill on the floor. When the cup is attached with the No Throw it doesn't allow the cup to fall on the floor and make a mess, this makes my job much easier! He grabs the strap and pulls up his cup when he wants it again.
I have used it in the car, at the dinner table and on his stroller but you could attach it to anything that you can get it to loop around. I could even see it being used to hold toys as well.

So~Mine Clip Watch Review & Giveaway
I received clip watches for a review from so~mine.
I could think of so many places to clip one of these clip watches which would make telling the time more accessible. Especially for those who don't like or can't wear a watch. A few places I have thought to clip one are: a bag, backpack, purse, belt loop, or could even have it hang on a hook in a locker.
The clip watches are easy to set the time and date. The instructions fit right behind the watch so if you did happen to forget how to chance the time and date the instructions are right there, so handy.
The buttons to change the time and date are on the side of the watch which is protected from accidentally changing the time if you have the watch inside the clip. I had to use a pointy object to change the date and time, I used a toothpick but I am sure a tip of a pen or something like that would work as well. To see the date you have to press one of the buttons on the side which I wasn't able to do with just my finger.
They offer nine different colors and combinations of clip watches. The watches come out of the clip (as seen in picture above) so you can change them around with the different colored clips to get and even bigger assortment of colors. It feels to me like the clip part at the top is made of plastic and the place where the watch is kept is made out of a soft rubber.

Baby Safe Feeder Review/Giveaway
The Baby Safe Feeder was invented, patented and marketed by
a dad who almost lost his baby due to choking on a teething cookie. It
is recommended for babies, age 5 months and older. The Baby Safe Feeder is not
made of any of the following: latex, phthalates, BPA, or PVC.
I was sent a Baby Safe Feeder starter kit for a review. My first opinion
of it when I got it and it was still in the package was it looked cheap. I was
totally wrong and very surprised when I opened the package and grabbed the
handle. I am surprised at how hard and strong the plastic was. I tried bending
the handle to the Baby Safe Feeder and check it all out to make sure that it
was going to be safe for my Little Man.
Carter as of today’s date has seven teeth, two of which are
just poked through. I don’t want him to
take a bit out of it and then not be able to chew it properly because he doesn’t
have molars. He loves eating solid foods and loves to bite. The great thing about
the Baby Safe Feeder is my son has to chew in order to get anything there for
is teaches him that he needs to chew his food.
I tried him with
apples for his first time with the Baby Safe Feeder and he didn’t seem to know
what to do at first but then figured it out. After he had chewed on it a few
times, he loved it. I even had to add more apples.
We have since tried many other things with the Baby Safe
Feeder and he loves it. Some fruits are messier then others, but this isn’t
even an issue because of the benefit from him having fresh fruit and veggies! I
have even put ice in it, for teething. I keep thinking of different things I
can put in it, like pieces of a popsicle. I won’t do any kind of berry because
I don’t know if the small seeds might get through.
Over all, in case you couldn’t tell I am very happy with the
Baby Safe Feeder and recommend it to any mother that wants their baby to be
able to enjoy fresh fruits and veggies without having to worry about their
little one choking.
Information from their website:
A. The plastic pieces are polypropylene and the mesh bag is polyester. We use NO BPA, PVC (not even in our packaging), Latex or Phthalates. It is fully assembled and made in the USA using all FDA approved materials. The BABY SAFE FEEDER™ is the original feeder, the only patented feeder, has been on the market for fifteen years, has been fully lab-tested, has met or surpassed all testing requirements and is CPSIA compliant.
A. When your baby is finished, take it away. Remove the mesh bag, turn inside out and rinse off food particles. Some foods such as bananas are more difficult to clean out of the feeder than others (try a white vinegar soak or baking soda). Wash it in hot soapy water or put it in the dishwasher on the top rack (utensil basket) so it is ready for the next use. Be sure to purchase extra replacement bags, so if you are unable to clean the bag properly your baby will always have a clean safe bag to use.
I turn the Baby Safe Feeder inside out and use my kitchen faucet hose to spray it clean of food then dip it a few times in soapy water and rinse.

No Slippy Hair Clippy Review/Giveaway
As many people can see Cloey always seems to have her hair in her eyes. I try to get her to let me put it up, and sometimes I am lucky enough for her to let me do it. With as fine and soft as her hair is the hair ties, or clips, would just slip out when she gets playing or touches them. Then she comes to me to have me fix her hair, this can go on for a while, but I usually only fix it twice and then I have had enough and tell her "All done!"
They are very cute! Before I even tried the clips with Cloey I knew that with her fine baby soft hair and with as active as she is they would for sure be put to the No Slip test.
