Hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July, I know we did. See some pictures below.
| My kids had their faces' painted, by their uncle Matt. |
After the parade we went up to my step sister's house for a barbecue and swimming. It started to pour after the food was cooked, so we all had to go inside to eat. Sucks that the rain had to ruin some of the activities we planned. Glad that the rain held out until after the parade was over, and stopped before it was time to watch the fireworks.
We went to our local school, to watch the fireworks. Before they started we let our kids run around, they both enjoyed running in the puddles. I figured why not let them have fun, they're kids. After a few minutes of them playing in the puddles, I got them clean up and changed into dry clothes.
When it started to get dark we got our kids into their pjs. This way if they fell asleep in the van we could just place them in bed.
| When it came time to watch the fireworks Cloey wanted to sit in the van with daddy and her friend, Merasia. Carter loved watching them. He would point and say "WOW, Pretty!" He wanted Mucka to hold him. (Mucka is the nickname that Cloey came up with when she just started talking. Terry's mother like that better then being called Grandma, and Carter calls her Mucka too.) My kids had a very fun day and I enjoyed watching them have fun! It was very nice that Terry had the night off, because we got to enjoy the day as a family! |
