Carter's Sleeping issues update/ Cloey didn't feel well

It lasted about a week of Carter sleeping for about an hour then waking up crying. Then he had two night where he slept all night. The next day got sick with a fever. We called the doctors, and brought him in for an appointment the next day. His fever was getting as high as 103.8, ibuprofen was the only thing that would bring it down. The doctor looked in his ear and said he had a slight ear infection and prescript amoxicillin, which he was to take three times a day for ten days. During the first five days of him taking it he was still running a fever, but the doctor didn't want us to go back to see them unless we couldn't bring the fever down with ibuprofen or get him to drink, and eat a little. Yesterday was the last day for him to take his medicine. He is doing much better and hasn't ran a fever all week (knock on wood).

Cloey came down with a fever as well. We gave her ibuprofen, every six hours to keep her fever down. We waited a couple of days to see if she was going to get better, because it was the weekend and her normal doctor was not on call. She was eating and drinking fine when her fever was down. She was extra tired.
We were going to bring her Monday but she didn't have a fever, then the next day she did. She didn't feel like eating at my parents so she laid down and fell asleep, this was the final day of her not feeling well because she woke up the next day as herself.

A couple other kids we knew got sick with the same fever for a couple of days, no other signs of anything being wrong.

I hate when my kids don't feel good, I wish I could wave a magic wand and make them feel better, or trade places with them and I would be the one sick, not them. I am sure almost every parent feels this way.
