A little Carter Update

Carter is now fifteen months old and walks all the time. He has a total of twelve teeth. He doesn't say many words but does try to say everyone's name that he knows.

Can't believe how big he has gotten. He has gone from walking very slow and only a couple of steps at a time to walking fast. He also loves to pick things up and bring them into other rooms, or try picking up things he can't because they are too heavy and gets mad when he can't and starts to cry. He loves to listen to music and loves to dance. Of course his dancing is bouncing in place or walking in big circles clapping his hands, very cute and entertaining to watch.

I am not very happy about Carter bully's his sister. He will pull her hair for no reason and laugh about it. I grab his arm and tell him "No pulling hair that isn't nice!" and he laughs at me. Then he will bite Cloey if she has something he wants. Cloey runs to me and tells on Carter often for hitting, biting, pitching or pulling her hair. Oh and if Cloey is sitting on the floor he will try and take things away or knock her over. I keep telling him that he isn't being nice and he needs to share or not hit, whatever fits for what he is doing at the time or had done. I have even gone as far as having him sit in time out, he cries sits there for a moment with a pouty look on his face and then gets up and plays. I figure he will learn soon but if I didn't do anything or say anything to him then he wouldn't think anything of it and continue to think it was always right.

My sister got Carter a toy vacuum at a lawn sale this past weekend and he loves it. We got Cloey a pink one for her third birthday and they would fight over it, so I was very happy that my sister had got one for him. Carter also had a hard time trying to push Cloey's vacuum while standing because it is heavier. With the one my sister got he can stand and push it back and forth on the floor one handed no problem. Yesterday Carter made a mess on the floor at snack time and he went and picked up his vacuum brought it over to the mess and started running over it trying to pick it up, little did he know he was making the pieces smaller and into an even bigger mess, but at least he was trying to help. I went and got my vacuum and really cleaned it up.

Carter has gotten really good at listening to me. He will go grab something if I point to it and tell him to grab it. He picks up each foot to get his shoe on and even tries to go get his own shoes on when we say we are going bye-bye or if he wants to go out, he hasn't yet been able to get one of his shoes on but he has gotten one of his sister's dress up shoes on. He will try and put his socks on his feet and gets made when he can't. We will tell him okay it is bath time or time to go get your teeth brush and he will start to go down the hall to the bathroom then we will tell him okay lets go in sis's room to read stories and he walks right in there. I love watching him walk around he is so cute. When he acts like he is headed some where and then turns around  or goes in big circles, as if his is confused or is showing off is so funny.

My kids mean the world to me and keep me laughing all the time. Sure there are times that get a little stressful because one of my kids are tired or both at once, which is even more stressful, but it is just a moment which is fixed by putting them to bed or sometimes it is just because it is a little past time to eat and they are really hungry then gets better after they eat. No one is perfect and no kid is going to be on their best behavior 24/7 because that would make life all too easy and no fun.
