A Cloey Update

I think it is safe to say that Cloey is potty trained! She has been peeing and pooping on the potty for weeks. She even wears undies to bed and has only had one accident since we started putting her in undies over a month ago. We are so very proud of her.  Before we leave we ask her if she has to pee, if she says no then we ask her to at least try. We also stop at the store before getting on the interstate and have her pee again. I am a little scared when it comes to putting her on a public potty

so if they don't have the paper seat protectors then I put hand sanitizer on it, let it sit for a second, and then wipe it off with a paper towel or toilet paper. Not saying that is what everyone should do but it gives me some piece of mind because it is good enough when you can't wash your hands. 

She is getting to be so independent. She wants to get herself dressed and can do it almost all the time without any help. The only thing she can't do is button her pants. She even wants to help get her brother dressed, but I don't let her. I allow her to help get her brother a toy or go grab him a bib even help pick out his clothes. She has gotten an even bigger attitude now. She thinks that she can tell me what she is going to do and not do, but she soon realizes that she isn't the boss when she losses a toy or gets a time out. I know that is is all part of her being a toddler, but she needs boundaries or she will run all over us.

 We went to Once Upon a Child and sold them the baby gear and clothes we no longer needed. They buy gently used children's clothing, toys and baby equipment. We bought the kids some new toys and some clothes with the money we got from selling their stuff. We figured it was there money. One of the toys we bought were the blocks that Cloey has built a tower with in the picture above. Carter and Cloey love to play with the blocks. Carter mostly just tries to eat them because he puts everything in his mouth.
