Cloey's Field Trip

 For Cloey's last and best field trip her class and I went to a nature center near by. Cloey's favorite part of the trip was the pond. We were able to take some water and put it in a tub then gently take a net and scrap the bottom of the pond and put what we found inside the tub. Then we would gently take out (with a plastic spoon) anything the kids wanted to take a closer look at and place it inside a clear plastic cup.

It was such a beautiful day out, and we got to enjoy nature! Cloey really enjoyed it and so did I. I was very grateful that I was able to go on Cloey's field trip with her. Terry had the day off so he watched both boys.

Sorry I have been MIA (missing in action)

It has been far too long since I have written a post!

A little update about my kids:

Cloey has almost completed her first year of kindergarten. I am so proud of how much she has learned this year. She loves school and loves to come home and pretend to be a teacher. She tells me that she wants to be a teacher when she grows up. I am curious to see if this changes. I hope that she will always love school. Cloey has a crush on a boy in her class. I think it is cute how she blushes whenever I talk about him or she tells me about him.

Carter had his first year of preschool this year, he loves going. He attended school Monday and Tuesday morning from 8-11:30. He has a girl in his class that he calls his girlfriend. WHAT!!!! Already!!!! Are you kidding me???? This is crazy I didn’t think Carter would already be talking about girls. He says he has a crush on her.

Caleb is doing great! I am so happy how much he has grown and all he can do. Because he was early I was told to expect him to be behind a couple of months with his development. He started to do somethings before Cloey and Carter did when they were at his age. He took his first step a month and a half before he turned a year old. He is almost fully walking, but gets around much faster by crawling which is why I think he isn’t only walking.  

Blog Name Change

Sorry I have been a little absent. My water broke at thirty-four weeks my son was born at thirty-four weeks one day (gestational age). He had to stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (nicu) for almost two weeks. He is a month old today and doing well. He was four pounds fourteen ounces and eighteen and a half inches long. He now weighs five pounds six ounces.

Cloey and Carter both love their brother.

Straight Talk

We used to have AT&T as our cell phone carrier. We were on the go phone plan. We decided to switch to Straight Talk because we were told they operated off Verizon and AT&T's cell phone towers, and it was going to save us a lot of money. We are currently on the $45 a month unlimited talk, text and data (for national calling, there is a different plan for international calling). The $45 a month plan also includes unlimited calling to 411 (information). The total we pay per phone, per month, after tax is $48.46.

Occupational Costumes

I receive a construction worker costume to review from AnytimeCostumes.com. I love that the vest is reflective. Carter is in love with this costume. As soon as he saw it he wanted to put it all on. He loves playing with toys and pretending to fix things.

Costume includes: Vest, Hard Hat, Goggles, Hammer, Saw, and Name Tag

Costume is good quality. I am not worried about him ruining anything. Hard Hat is made of sturdy hard plastic. (Wouldn't use this hat in a hard hat only place though. Toy use only!)

Tape measure does not com with the costume, we bought that at a different store.

Love that there are pockets on the vest, one for the hammer, one for the saw and an extra one to for kids to put what they want in it. Carter uses the extra pocket for his tape measure (again tape measure not included with costume).

Board also not include with costume.

The goggles stay on by a stretchy cord and velcro (in the back). I think the cord should be a little longer because it makes the goggles a little tight on my son's face. That is the only thing I would change about this costume. Very happy with it other than that. 

Great costume for boys or girls! Vest has to velcro squares that keep it from falling off.
